Latest Premier League News and Transfer Rumours

Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.

England Euro 2024 Squad Cuts

After Gareth Southgate named a 33-man squad for the preparations for Euro 2024, now the first rumoured names to be left out have emerged.

Yesterday evening Tottenham playmaker James Maddison has reportedly been told that he won’t be going to Germany, and today the Telegraph is saying that Liverpool duo Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah will also be missing out on the tournament.

4 more names will have to be cut from the squad before Saturday’s submission deadline.

2023/24 Retained Lists Published

The 20 clubs that have taken part in the recently concluded Premier League season have released the lists of players that they are retaining ahead of the coming campaign.

You can find the lists in their entirety if you follow this link.

Departing Premier League Players

Naturally, as with the end of every season, teams will release players and we are here to let you know what the most notable names are who will be leaving their clubs this month.

Arsenal’s longest serving player, Mohamed Elneny, is leaving the Gunners after 8 years at the club, along with right-back Cedric Soares.

After 4 seasons with Brighton, former Southampton and Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana will be exiting the club.

Chelsea’s 39-year-old Thiago Silva is departing Stamford Bridge after 4 seasons.

Everton’s Dele Alli is also leaving the club, after 11 EPL appearances in the last 2 and a half seasons. Andre Gomes is also departing the Toffees.

Thiago and Joel Matip are leaving Liverpool after 4 and 8 years, respectively.

Manchester United sees Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane say goodbye this month.

Newcastle’s Paul Dummett, Matt Ritchie and Loris Karius are not going to be retained by the Magpies.

Tottenham are releasing 4 senior players: Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga.

West Ham United are going to be without Angelo Ogbonna after a 9-year spell.

EPL Transfers

If Barcelona sell Raphinha this summer, they will make Liverpool winger Luis Diaz their top transfer target, according to Marca.

Manchester United are considering a move for Sporting midfielder Morten Hjulmand this summer, regardless of whether Erik ten Hag remains in charge. 24-year-old Hjulmand has a rumoured price tag of £69 million. (GIVEMESPORT)

TEAMtalk tells us that Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira is on the radar at Tottenham after he has admitted that he will talk to his agent about his future after the 2024 Copa America.

Dutch publication Algemeen Dagblad is saying that Feyenoord defender Lutsharel Geertruida is a transfer target for 4 EPL clubs: Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham.

Journalist David Lynch reports that Liverpool goalie Caoimhin Kelleher is keen to leave Anfield this summer, as there is little guarantee of more playing time. The Reds’ asking price could be well over £20 million.

Amid speculation linking Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz with Juventus, we now learn from Tutto Juve that Arsenal have identified the Brazilian as their preferred replacement for Thomas Partey.

Lastly, as Tottenham centre-back Radu Drăgușin is asking Postecoglou for more minutes next season, Napoli are keen on bringing him back to Italy this summer. (Gazzetta dello Sport)
