Newcastle United have reportedly made it clear to striker Alexander Isak that he will be required to resume training with the team if no acceptable offer for his transfer arrives in the coming weeks.

Isak, who missed pre-season due to what was described as a thigh injury, has been training separately from the main squad at the request of manager Eddie Howe. Howe has stated he does not want the Sweden international’s current stance to have a negative impact on the rest of the players.

While Isak is believed to be keen on securing a record-breaking transfer to Liverpool, Newcastle officials have communicated that he will not be sold this summer unless they receive a suitable bid.
