EPL Transfer News: Guehi, Spurs, El Khannouss and More
Liverpool in Pole Position for Guehi
Liverpool are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Marc Guehi this summer, should the Crystal Palace defender move on. The 25-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal, a situation which could prompt Palace to sell in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
According to The Telegraph, the Reds are considered to be in “pole position” for his signature. Newcastle United came close to securing Guehi’s services 12 months ago for over £70 million, but his valuation should now be lower due to his contract situation. However, if a new deal is agreed, the figure could remain close to that amount.
Chelsea are also potential suitors following Levi Colwill’s ACL injury, which is expected to sideline him for most of the season. The Blues, who admire their academy graduate, have signed Jorrel Hato this summer and are currently exploring internal solutions.
Guehi has consistently made at least 34 appearances in each of the last four Premier League seasons. Despite a knee injury sidelining him for two months in 2023–24, he has proven to be a reliable performer, recording three goals and two assists last season.

This marks a slight reduction from the £60 million offer tabled by Al Nassr in January. Nevertheless, keeping Núñez played a role in helping Liverpool lift the Premier League trophy in Arne Slot’s debut season in charge.
In a statement, the club expressed their gratitude: “Everybody at the club would like to thank Darwin for his contributions and wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
