Matchday 10 Awards
This past weekend brought some great action, along with a couple of big surprises, with West Ham beating Newcastle chief among them.
Arsenal continued their assured march at the top of the table with a now-trademark 2-0 away win at Burnley, Manchester City are in second place after a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth. Meanwhile, Man United could not keep their winning streak going as they needed a late goal to get a point against Forest.
Liverpool returned to winning ways with arguably their best performance of the season, a confidence-inspiring 2-0 home win over Villa, while Brighton and Fulham registered the biggest wins of the round, both 3-0 home triumphs over Leeds and Wolves respectively.

베스트 플레이어
We can’t help but wonder how far down the table Manchester City would be without Erling Haaland this season. The Norwegian scored a brace against Bournemouth, bringing his goal tally up to 13, while City’s second-highest scorer is Burnley centre-back Maxime Esteve, with two own goals.
Haaland has been nothing short of crucial for City and Pep Guardiola will be hoping that this rich vein of goalscoring form continues.

최고의 목표
Amad Diallo’s equaliser for United gets our Best Goal award this week. It was such a satisfying, controlled volley that made it past a bunch of players and nestled in the corner of the goal, leaving Matz Sels grasping at thin air.
Just lovely.

최고의 통계
Arsenal have now scored eight Premier League goals from corners this campaign, which is an all-time record for the first 10 matchdays of a season.
Mohamed Salah is only the third Liverpool player in the club’s history to reach 250 goals, after Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285). He has now also registered 276 goals and assists combined in the Premier League for a single club, putting himself level with Wayne Rooney at the top of this particular metric.
Iliman Ndiaye is now only the fifth player to score at least five Premier League goals with both feet since the start of last season, joining Mohamed Salah, Yoane Wissa, Antoine Semenyo and Jean-Philippe Mateta in this particularly exclusive club.
최고/최악의 VAR 판정
The ball was still in play when the assistant referee signalled for a corner for Manchester United in their game against Nottingham Forest. It just so happened that United also scored from that corner.
Naturally, VAR could not intervene and communicate to the ref that the entirety of the ball had not crossed the entirety of the line. We don’t blame the assistant referee for this either because it was very hard to see on the far side, with the goal posts and the net in the way as well.
But should VAR not be able to step in and rectify these sorts of errors as well, even though it’s not a penalty or offside decision? Sure, it might mean more delays here and there, which we would not be looking forward to, but when a goal is scored from a “clear and obvious error”, perhaps VAR should be allowed to pitch in and correct an on-pitch mistake.
최고의 대체품
Tomas Soucek came on around the hour mark and scored the final goal for West Ham in their first home win of the season against Newcastle. It was the sort of tenacious, never-say-die attitude you expect from a substitution, and we’re glad to see Espirito Santo’s trust being repaid.
가장 재미있는 순간
After a lengthy tussle ahead of a Villa corner kick, a throat grab and a wrestling manoeuver, Alexis Mac Allister celebrated finally getting a decision from the referee as if he had scored a hat-trick.
