Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.

New Leicester Manager

Newly promoted Leicester City have officially announced the appointment of manager Steve Cooper on a three-year contract.

Having last been in charge of Nottingham Forest until December 2023, Cooper joins the Foxes to replace Enzo Maresca, who has joined Chelsea after the conclusion of last season.

This is what he had to say: “I am really excited and proud to be appointed Leicester City’s first-team manager. This is a fantastic club with a rich history and passionate supporters. I am excited to work with such a talented squad and I’m looking forward to the challenge of achieving our shared ambitions in the Premier League.”

EPL Transfers

리버풀 have placed a £25 million price tag on second-choice goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, as he is willing to leave the club in search of playing time. (Daily Mirror)

맨체스터 유나이티드 are looking at West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez as a potential replacement for Casemiro, as they look to offload the Brazilian in order to raise funds. (Fabrizio Romano)

Still from Romano we hear that UEFA rules on multi-club ownership have blocked 맨체스터 유나이티드’s pursuit of Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo. This is due to Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS owning the French club, as well as being part-owners of United.

Arsenal have made a £16.9 million offer to Fenerbahce for left-back Ferdi Kadioglu and are willing to sell Kieran Tierney to make room for him in the squad. Borussia Dortmund are also keen on the Turkish player. (Ajan Spor)

There are four Premier League sides interested in the transfer of Lille striker Jonathan David: Aston Villa, 맨체스터 유나이티드, Tottenham and West Ham. He is rated at £25 million. (The Independent)

Fulham need to replace Tosin Adarabioyo after his departure, so they are looking at Trevoh Chalobah from west London rivals 첼시. (Standard)

HITC tells us that Newcastle are hoping to tie Alexander Isak down with a new contract in order to fend off interest from other clubs in the Swedish striker.

TEAMtalk are claiming that 리버풀 are keen to sign Turkish sensation Arda Guler from Real Madrid.

Lastly, two rumours of deals between Manchester City and Everton. AfricaFoot reports that the Toffees have made an £11 million bid for Issa Kabore, who spent 2023/24 on loan at Luton Town. Meanwhile, the Mail says that Everton have also enquired about City’s Kalvin Phillips, who is also linked with his former club Leeds United.
