EPL Transfers
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has agreed to a move to Atletico Madrid this summer, after the Blues have accepted a £34.2 million bid for him. Gallagher, who is in the last year of his contract with Chelsea, is travelling to Spain today to finalise the move. Chelsea are planning to replace him with Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley. Southampton have already had a £14 million bid for O’Riley rejected earlier in the window. (90min)
Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to sign PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte. After already agreeing personal terms with the player, United might need to raise some funds before paying the £60 million that the French outfit demands. A loan with an obligation to buy is another option being considered at the moment.
Amid reports from Corriere dello Sport that Victor Osimhen is not interested in joining Chelsea, but is holding out for a move from Napoli to PSG, from journalist Simon Phillips we learn that the Blues are now considering a move for RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda.
Federico Chiesa has been publicly put on the transfer list by new Juventus manager Thiago Motta, so now both Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in a deal for the Italian. (TEAMtalk)
