Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.
New Premier League Kits
As the start of the season draws nearer, we are getting more and more official kit releases from EPL clubs. Some of the home kits have been known for months, like Liverpool’s, but we are also seeing more of the away ones being launched now, with less than a month until 2024/25 kicks off.
Crystal Palace, Ipswich and West Ham are some of the clubs who have made their away strips official, with the Tractor Boys’ one a favourite here at EPLNews.

EPL Transfers
In the latest Leny Yoro twist, Sky Sports tells us that the Frenchman has now completed a medical with Manchester United ahead of sealing a deal worth over £50 million. There has been plenty of interest in the Lille centre-back from Real Madrid, but the Spaniards were only willing to pay about £25 million this summer or wait for next summer to sign him on a free transfer.
West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has been offered contracts by Saudi clubs Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad worth £11 million per season, according to TEAMtalk. In recent months there has been interest in his services from some of the bigger teams in the Premier League as well, such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
According to the Telegraph’s John Percy, Aston Villa has scheduled a medical for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana ahead of a £50 million move. It is reported that all financial terms have been agreed between clubs and player.
But leaving Aston Villa seems to be Moussa Diaby, who has given his approval for a transfer to Al-Ittihad, as per Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari. Personal terms have been agreed, while negotiation between Villa and the Saudi club has “entered its final and decisive phase”. According to 90min, Aston Villa is asking for £60 million, with a first bid of £45 million already rejected.
Spanish outlet El Nacional reports that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has ruled out joining Real Madrid now that Kylian Mbappe signed for them, as the Norwegian does not want to share the spotlight with Mbappe. Haaland is considering joining Barcelona next summer instead.
Now that the PSR deadline has passed and Everton are not in dire need to sell players, Newcastle might not be able to seal a deal for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, especially since they are yet to agree personal terms with the striker. (90min)
Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg informs us that RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan is the subject of an enquiry from Liverpool. With Atletico Madrid also interested in the player, the German club does not want to sell him, but could be open to a deal for the right money (£34-£38 million).
Portuguese publication O Jogo reports that Liverpool are also working on a transfer for Sporting centre-back Goncalo Inacio, who is of interest to Arsenal and Manchester United as well.
According to talkSPORT, West Ham are close to sealing a deal for £25-million-rated Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson.
Also close is a transfer for Napoli midfielder Jesper Lindstrøm to Everton. The Toffees are set to take him on a loan deal with a £21 million purchase option. (Corriere dello Sport)
Lastly, Spanish newspaper Fichajes says that Tottenham striker Richarlison is wanted by two Saudi Pro League sides: Al-Ittihad and Al Qadsia.
