First FPL Prices Revealed
For those of us who enjoy the satisfaction (and anguish) brought by the Fantasy Premier League, yesterday the first 20 player prices were revealed ahead of the new season.
Man City’s Erling Haaland has made some more history as he is now the most expensive FPL player ever, priced at £15m.

Manchester United’s New Assistant Manager
The familiar figure of legendary striker Ruud van Nistelrooy will pop up at Old Trafford again this season, as the Dutchman has returned to United in a coaching capacity.
Van Nistelrooy has played for the Red Devils between 2001 and 2006, and has now joined as Erik ten Hag’s assistant on a contract running until 2026.
EPL Transfers
Manchester United have agreed on a deal with Bologna to sign striker Joshua Zirkzee without triggering his release clause. Fabrizio Romano reports that United will pay a little over the £34 million stipulated in his contract, but the fee will be spread out over three years of instalments. Still on the topic of Zirkzee, David Ornstein (The Athletic) tells us that the 23-year-old is flying into Manchester for his medical today.
Midfielder Donny van de Beek has now completed a move away from Manchester United and has joined Spanish side Girona on a four-year deal. (Manchester United official announcement)
In yet more Manchester United news, German newspaper Bild claims that there is “movement” in the English club camp to bring in Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt as soon as possible. According to Sky Sports Germany, the Dutchman has informed Bayern that he wants to leave and join United.
Liverpool have met with the agents of Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong to discuss a transfer. He is also wanted by Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid. There is a £34 million release clause in his current deal, but it is reported to expire soon. (Bild)
Tottenham are ahead of Newcastle in the race to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves due to Spurs playing in Europe this season and the allure of living in London. (GIVEMESPORT)
Sky Sports Italia says that Bologna will sell Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal only if the demands of £42 million and a sell-on clause are met. The Gunners’ latest offer was worth £40 million including add-ons.
Spanish publication Marca reports that Chelsea have given up in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion and will now focus on bringing in either Lille’s Jonathan David or Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
West Ham are in negotiations with Southampton about bringing in Kyle Walker-Peters. A deal for him might mean Flynn Downes heading to the south coast. (talkSPORT)
