Hugo Ekitike Completes Big-Money Move to Liverpool

Liverpool have finalised the signing of 23-year-old striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.

A deal was struck between the two clubs for a guaranteed £69 million, with an additional £10 million in potential add-ons. Ekitike, who netted 22 goals for Frankfurt across all competitions last season, flew to England on Tuesday to complete his medical. Following the confirmation of the deal, he is set to join Arne Slot’s Premier League champions on their pre-season tour of Asia.

Newcastle’s Pursuit of Yoane Wissa Continues

Newcastle United are continuing their pursuit of Brentford forward Yoane Wissa.

A £25 million bid for the 28-year-old was recently rejected, with Brentford reportedly demanding a fee exceeding £40 million. The ongoing speculation has unsettled Wissa, prompting him to leave his club’s pre-season training camp. Newcastle remain in the market for a striker following Callum Wilson’s exit at the end of his contract.

However, the Magpies face competition for Wissa’s signature, with Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest also keeping tabs on the situation at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Christopher Nkunku Draws Broad Interest

Christopher Nkunku has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.
