Omar Marmoush Joins Manchester City in £59m Deal

Manchester City have officially confirmed the signing of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million. The Egypt international becomes the latest addition in a busy January transfer window for the Premier League champions.

Earlier this week, City also bolstered their defensive line with the signings of Brazilian centre-back Vitor Reis from Palmeiras and Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens. Speaking to the club’s official website, Marmoush expressed his delight:

“This is a day I will never forget. To sign for Manchester City – one of the best teams in the world – is an amazing feeling. I am delighted, my family are so proud and we are all very happy to be here in Manchester. With Pep [Guardiola], his technical staff and the world-class facilities here, players have everything they need to improve. That was really enticing for me when I had the chance to come here.”

Napoli Back Away from Alejandro Garnacho Pursuit

Napoli appear to have withdrawn from the race to sign Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho due to the forward’s steep £70m price tag (TEAMtalk). Despite Napoli’s interest, Garnacho reportedly favors a move to Chelsea over the Serie A giants (TyC Sports).

If Manchester United secure £60m from Garnacho’s sale, the funds could facilitate a £180m summer spending spree while adhering to Premier League financial fair play regulations (Daily Express).

Liverpool are exploring options to acquire Real Sociedad forward Takefusa Kubo but are hesitant to activate his £50.7m buyout clause. Instead, the Reds are considering offering Federico Chiesa as part of the deal (El Nacional – Spain).

Arsenal Target Benjamin Sesko Amid Dusan Vlahovic Setback

Arsenal have allocated £59m to pursue RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko. While the club is prepared to stretch their budget to secure the striker this January, they may also wait until summer to finalize the move (Mirror).

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s long-term interest in Dusan Vlahovic appears to have hit a roadblock as negotiations with Juventus over the Serbian striker have stalled (Football Transfers).

Dean Huijsen on Barcelona’s Summer Wishlist

Barcelona have outlined a three-man transfer shortlist for the summer, targeting Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, Porto striker Samu Aghehowa and Bournemouth’s Dutch-Spanish centre-back Dean Huijsen (Fichajes – Spain).

However, Barcelona may face stiff competition from Real Madrid for Huijsen, with the Spanish giants monitoring the defender’s progress closely (ESPN).

Kyle Walker Agrees Loan Move to AC Milan

Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker is set to join AC Milan on loan, with the Serie A club agreeing to cover his full salary during the spell (Fabrizio Romano).

Chelsea Enter Race for Southampton’s Tyler Dibling

Chelsea have joined Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and RB Leipzig in the race to sign Southampton’s highly-rated 18-year-old Tyler Dibling. The Saints have reportedly set an asking price of at least £55m for the promising midfielder (Sky Sports).

Matheus Cunha Hesitates on Wolves Contract Amid Transfer Interest

Wolves striker Matheus Cunha has garnered significant interest following his impressive tally of 10 goals and four assists this season. Arsenal, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all monitoring his situation (90min, Daily Mail).

Although Wolves have reached a verbal agreement for a new contract with the Brazilian international, Cunha is reportedly hesitant to sign. According to Fabrizio Romano, the situation remains “open,” fueling speculation about a potential move.
