Fulham vs Bournemouth Report

Scorers: Jimenez 40’, Wilson 72’; Evanilson 51’, Ouattara 89’

Bournemouth extended their unbeaten Premier League run to seven matches with a dramatic 2-2 draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

A late equaliser from Dango Ouattara ensured the Cherries maintained their place in the top six, while Fulham’s home form remained steady despite the disappointment of dropping points in the dying moments.

First Half: Fulham Strikes Against the Run of Play

Bournemouth started brightly, showing why they had won their last three away matches. David Brooks was at the heart of their early chances, testing Bernd Leno with a low drive before narrowly missing the target with another effort moments later.

Antoine Semenyo also came close, forcing Leno into a spectacular save with a powerful shot from close range.

Despite Bournemouth’s dominance, it was Fulham who broke the deadlock five minutes before the interval. Raúl Jiménez, in fine form this season, met an Andreas Pereira corner with a precise header to net his seventh goal of the campaign.

Fulham nearly doubled their advantage before the break, but Alex Iwobi’s effort sailed over the crossbar, leaving the game finely poised.

Second Half: Bournemouth Battle Back

True to form, Bournemouth refused to be disheartened, levelling the match just five minutes into the second half. Evanilson’s composed finish into the top-right corner capped off a swift counter-attack, restoring parity and setting up a thrilling final 40 minutes.

Both teams traded chances as the game opened up, with Leno and Kepa Arrizabalaga making vital saves to keep their sides in contention.

The momentum shifted back to Fulham in the 72nd minute when Antonee Robinson’s deflected cross fell perfectly for Harry Wilson, who headed past Kepa to restore the hosts’ lead.

Dramatic Finale: Ouattara to the Rescue

Fulham seemed poised to secure all three points, but Bournemouth had other ideas. In the final minute of regulation time, Semenyo picked out Dango Ouattara inside the box.

Spotting Leno slightly off his line, the Burkinabé forward delicately chipped the ball into the net, silencing the Craven Cottage crowd and sealing a hard-fought point for the Cherries.

What This Means

  • Fulham: Marco Silva’s side remains in the hunt for a top-half finish but will rue their inability to close out the match, sitting just outside the European places.
  • Bournemouth: Andoni Iraola’s men continue their remarkable form, cementing their status as surprise top-six contenders and showing resilience away from home.

Next Fixtures

  • Fulham: Travel to Southampton, looking to bounce back against the league’s bottom side.
  • Bournemouth: Host Brighton & Hove Albion, aiming to extend their unbeaten streak to eight games.

The draw leaves both teams with plenty to build on as they enter a critical phase of the season, with Bournemouth’s European dreams remaining very much alive and Fulham’s home resilience keeping them in contention.
