Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips is close to yet another loan move, this time to Derby County. Journalist James Pearce claims that he is on his way to a medical right now and that the deal is just for a loan, with no option or obligation to buy for next summer.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Manchester City will not be pursuing a deadline day deal for a back-up striker, despite Julian Alvarez leaving the club earlier this month.
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has congratulated the club’s chairman for “not giving in” and keeping Marc Guehi at the club this summer. He had been the subject of four separate bids from Newcastle.

CONFIRMED: Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has left north London to join Southampton on a permanent basis. The Saints reportedly paid £25 million for his services, with £18 million upfront and a further £7 million in add-ons. Ramsdale’s contract runs for four years, with an option for one more.
