Now onto the rumours!
Manchester United are still looking for a midfielder with a defensive profile and Sky Sports reports that Burnley’s Sander Berge might be available on a much cheaper deal than some of their other targets, like PSG’s Manuel Ugarte or Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong.
In a bit of a shocker, El Nacional claims that Liverpool made a £34 million offer for Barcelona’s Ilkay Gündoğan, which the club accepted immediately, only for the player to refuse the switch. Definitely take this one with a pinch of salt.
Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic might join the Blues’ sister club Strasbourg on a season-long loan, according to L’Equipe.
As Manchester United are considering selling Antony and Jadon Sancho, they have identified Barcelona’s Raphinha as a potential replacement, but he would not come cheap: £51 million, as per a report in Spanish outlet SPORT.
The Express tells us that Arsenal have devised a plan to bring in Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze by offering Eddie Nketiah plus cash to the Eagles.
And speaking of Crystal Palace, they just won’t let Marc Guehi go, it seems. Newcastle have had a fourth bid, worth £65 million including add-ons, rejected by the Londoners, according to The Athletic. talkSPORT says that the Magpies might just end up getting Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah, who would be a cheaper alternative and is held in high regard by manager Eddie Howe.
Lastly, GIVEMESPORT reports that West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek might leave the club this window if he feels that he is not a big part of new manager Julen Lopetegui’s plans for this season.
