Latest Premier League News and Transfer Rumours

Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.

O’Neil Signs New Contract

Wolves’ manager Gary O’Neil has signed a new contract, committing his next four years to the club. In addition to O’Neil, his backroom staff – assistant head coach Tim Jenkins, first-team coaches Shaun Derry and Ian Burchnall, head of goalkeeping Neil Cutler and first-team coach analyst Woody Dewar – have all signed new deals with the club.

Wolves’ chairman Jeff Shi had the following to say: “I think the club has a positive future, building a new cycle for growth, better results on the pitch and ambitions to realise. To prepare for that, we need a very good team and I think Gary is a key member of the team, maybe even the most important member, so we are very happy to have him here for the long-term.”

EPL Transfers

Chelsea have confirmed the arrival of Pedro Neto from Wolves, who now becomes the Blues’ 10th signing this summer after joining on a seven-year contract. The transfer fee is understood to have been around £54 million. (Chelsea official announcement)

West Ham have announced the arrival of Jean-Clair Todibo on loan from Nice for the upcoming season. They will have the option to make the transfer permanent next summer for £35 million. (West Ham official announcement)

Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui are scheduled to fly to England today for medicals ahead of their transfers from Bayern Munich to Manchester United, according to a report from Sky Sports.

In another bit of news about a medical, Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez is scheduled for a medical with Atletico Madrid today, after the two clubs have agreed an £82 million deal. (Sky Sports)

After the collapse of a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion, Chelsea have turned their attention to Joao Felix, according to Fabrizio Romano. Atletico need to raise funds soon in order for their deals for Julian Alvarez and Conor Gallagher to be completed, and selling Felix might be the solution.

Spanish publication El Nacional reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Al-Nassr to bring in Manchester United winger Antony to the club this summer. The Brazilian is understood to be keen on a move as well.

Liverpool are understood to be ready to offer Martin Zubimendi three times the wages he is currently earning at Real Sociedad. The midfielder is still pondering on whether to leave his boyhood club. (Mundo Deportivo)

Barcelona are interested in bringing in Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon, who has spent last season on loan at Manchester United and Brentford, seemingly not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans. (AS)

After Bayern Munich have decided that Kingsley Coman is not part of their plans for this season, Arsenal are now hoping to bring him to the Premier League on loan. (Football Insider)

Back with El Nacional, we find out that Arsenal are also interested in Barcelona’s Raphinha, who the Catalan club might consider letting go this summer after they brought in Dani Olmo.

AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham is a top target for AC Milan, but there are at least three Premier League clubs interested in bringing him back to England: Bournemouth, Everton and Leicester. (Calciomercato)

Lastly, Sky Sports Germany says that the transfer of Kurt Zouma from West Ham to Shabab Al-Ahli is on the verge of collapsing due to issues during the player’s medical.
