Another day, another signing for West Ham as they have confirmed the arrival of Guido Rodriguez on a free transfer. The 30-year-old World Cup winner with Argentina joins the Hammers after the expiry of his contract with Spanish side Real Betis. (West Ham official announcement)
Manchester City are set to rival Tottenham for the signature of Wolves winger Pedro Neto. Pep Guardiola is keen to strengthen his attack further after the arrival of Savinho and has identified Neto as the right man for the job. Spurs have been linked with the Portuguese all summer and now might have trouble bringing him to London, according to the Telegraph.
Fabrizio Romano says “there is a feeling” that an agreement can be reached between West Ham and Manchester United to facilitate Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s exit from Old Trafford, because the Red Devils are looking to sell him with one year left on his contract and bring in Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich as his replacement.
Newcastle could receive a boost in their hopes to seal a deal with Crystal Palace for centre-back Marc Guehi. According to L’Equipe, Palace are negotiating with Wolfsburg for Guehi’s replacement, Maxence Lacroix.
Once again with Fabrizio Romano, we hear that Brentford are close to sealing a loan deal for Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste. The agreement will include a £10.3 million option to buy at the end of the season. And Napoli are seemingly looking to make up for the departure of Cajuste by signing Brighton’s Billy Gilmour.
The Athletic tells us that Manchester United have abandoned their pursuit of PSG defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte because of the French club’s asking price: £51.4 million. The sum is very similar to what PSG paid to Sporting for the player last year and they are keen to not take a loss on this deal.
But one deal that might take place between Manchester United and PSG involves Jadon Sancho. According to Sky Sports, the Englishman would be open to joining the French champions, who have opened talks with United regarding a deal.
Spanish publication Tribuna Deportiva claims that Aston Villa are aware that Atletico Madrid are having trouble finding clubs interested in Joao Felix, so they are planning to take advantage of the situation. After Villa offload Jhon Duran, they will make a low offer for Felix, hoping it will be enough to convince Atletico to sell.
Liverpool are looking to bring in Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili for roughly £25.8 million and loan him out until Alisson decides to leave the Reds, if a report from El Nacional is to be believed. Bournemouth is one destination mentioned for the Georgia goalie.
Tottenham might need to sell Richarlison, who is drumming up interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, before sealing a deal with Bournemouth for Dominic Solanke. However, the report from the Evening Standard leads us to believe that both transfers are likely.
And lastly, Mats Hummels, now a free agent after his departure from Borussia Dortmund, is the subject of interest from Brighton and West Ham, according to Sky Sports Germany.
