Arsenal have completed the signing of Bologna centre-back Riccardo Calafiori for a reported fee of £42 million. The 22-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners and will be wearing number 33. (Arsenal official announcement)
Fabrizio Romano reports that Atletico Madrid are in negotiations with Chelsea over a deal for Conor Gallagher. The fee requested by the Londoners stands between £29.5 and £33.7 million, including add-ons.
Fulham have agreed a deal worth £34 million (including add-ons) for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe. The initial fee is £27 million and Smith Rowe is set to become the Cottagers’ first signing of the summer. (ESPN)
And once Smith Rowe is out of the club, Arsenal are planning on completing a deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino, according to Football Transfers.
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to get Noussair Mazraoui to the Premier League. The rumoured fee stands at £21.2 million, while personal terms between the player and United have already been agreed. (Foot Mercato)
But it’s not all smooth sailing for Manchester United. They are having trouble agreeing on a deal with PSG for Manuel Ugarte, so United might end up having to keep Casemiro despite their open willingness to sell him earlier in the window after a poor campaign last season. (GIVEMESPORT)
In the last 24 hours we heard that Liverpool have turned down bids for two of their players. From Fabrizio Romano we learn that PSV saw an offer of £8.4 million for Sepp van den Berg rejected, who the Reds would like between £20 and £25 million for. The other player, this time subject of a bid from Olympique Marseille, was Wataru Endo. According to The Athletic, the French side offered £11.8 million a few weeks back, but the bid was knocked back. While Marseille have brought in Ismael Kone and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in the meantime, it is unlikely that they will go back with another offer for Endo. However, the player remains on the radars of several Bundesliga clubs.
TuttoMercatoWeb says that Liverpool have submitted an offer of £21 million for Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup, but the Italians are not willing to sell him.
Despite widespread interest earlier in the transfer window, Crystal Palace have not received any formal offers for Eberechi Eze from either Manchester City or Tottenham, if a report from GIVEMESPORT is to be believed.
The Guardian reports that while Napoli have not agreed a fee with Chelsea for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, they are now open to the idea of shipping Victor Osimhen off to the Blues as part of the deal.
While on the subject of Chelsea, TEAMtalk tells us that the Stamford Bridge outfit have started talks with the agent of Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, who could be available for £20 million this summer.
