Latest Premier League News and Transfer Rumours
Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.
United’s New Stadium Plans
A club committee has determined that Manchester United would be better off building a new stadium than redeveloping Old Trafford, as it would have a more transformative effect on the club.
While it is still somewhat in the early stages and a new stadium is certainly not the only way to go, it does seem like United’s decision makers are favouring the idea of building a new home for the club. The new stadium would be built on land that United already owns next to Old Trafford, and inspiration might be taken from the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, as well as the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley.
The rumoured capacity of the new stadium is 100,000.
