Latest Premier League News and Transfer Rumours

Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.

EPL Transfers

Aston Villa have confirmed that Moussa Diaby has left the club to join Al-Ittihad in a permanent transfer reportedly worth £52 million. His contract with the Saudi outfit will run until 2029. (Aston Villa official announcement)

Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle with Bologna for the transfer of centre-back Riccardo Calafiori for £42 million. He is set for a medical soon and could link up with the Gunners during their US pre-season tour in the coming days. (Sky Sports)

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Napoli midfielder Jesper Lindstrøm flew to England yesterday for a medical ahead of an initial loan deal with Everton.

Virgil van Dijk has reportedly informed Liverpool that he wants to sign a new contract and is not entertaining offers from any other clubs. His current deal has less than one year left to run. (HITC)

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has poured cold water on the rumours of advanced negotiations between his club and Liverpool for the transfer of Takefusa Kubo, saying that “there are no negotiations with any club”. (Mundo Deportivo)

Talks between Leicester and Arsenal are underway for a deal that would see Reiss Nelson move away from north London on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy. (Fabrizio Romano)

Liverpool could make a double signing from Wolves this summer, with GiveMeSport claiming that they would be willing to part with close to £100 million to get Pedro Neto and Rayan Aït-Nouri to Anfield.

Ferran Torres is the subject of a new bid from Newcastle. Their first attempt was rejected by Barcelona, so now they have returned with a £25.2 million offer. (Fichajes)

But one player who could make the reverse trip between England and Spain is Chelsea’s Conor Gallaher. According to TEAMtalk, Atletico Madrid are “extremely confident” that they can land their top transfer target this summer.

Italian outlet Calciomercato says that Chelsea striker Armando Broja is on the radar of AC Milan, who have started talks with the Blues over a transfer.

After signing Joshua Zirkzee to add to their striking power alongside Rasmus Højlund, Manchester United are still open to the idea of bringing Ivan Toney in from Brentford, but only if the Bees lower their asking price. (GiveMeSport)

And in another bit about Manchester United, we understand from the Mirror that they might make an offer to Marcos Alonso after his release from Barcelona.

A bid from West Ham to sign Nottingham Forest full-back Nico Williams has been rejected, if a report from HITC is to be believed.

Rudy Galetti claims that there will be one last attempt from Al-Ittihad to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson for around £32 million. If this last bid also fails, they will move on to other targets.

Olympique Lyon centre-back Jake O’Brien is expected to leave France this summer and two potential destinations are Premier League clubs, as both Brentford and Everton are interested in him. (Foot Mercato)
