Latest Premier League News and Transfer Rumours

Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.

EPL Transfers

Newcastle have completed the permanent transfer of 19-year-old Serbian defender Miodrag Pivas from Jedinstvo Ub. He joins the Magpies on a five-year deal, while the rumoured cost of the transaction stands at £678,000. The Serbian club have inserted a 20% sell-on clause as well. (Newcastle official announcement)

Arsenal have moved even closer to securing a deal for Riccardo Calafiori, as Bologna are holding out for a £42.2 million fee and discussions are centred around payment structure and clauses. Personal terms between the Gunners and Calafiori are not expected to be an issue. (Sky Sports)

The Daily Mail claims that Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has agreed personal terms with Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad. They also report that negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs regarding the transfer fee. De Bruyne has one year left on his contract with City.

West Ham United have seen their first verbal offer of £15 million for N’Golo Kante rejected by Al-Ittihad, as the Saudi club are hoping to keep hold of the Frenchman. They see him as a vital player for the present and future of the club and it would take a bid of at least £25 million to bring them to the negotiations table. (The Athletic)

Manchester United have had a busy summer window so far, bringing in Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro already, while PSG’s Manuel Ugarte is linked with an arrival more and more consistently. However, United are also looking to bring Adrien Rabiot through the Old Trafford doors after the expiry of his contract with Juventus. There is plenty of interest in Rabiot’s services from Liverpool, AC Milan and Real Madrid, and ESPN now says that the Mancunians have joined the race for his signature.

And that’s still not all about Manchester United. French publication L’Equipe reports that they will be fighting Bayern Munich in an attempt to land Dutch sensation Xavi Simons this summer.

Fabrizio Romano tells us that the transfer of Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg to Olympique Marseille is as good as done, with confirmation of a deal worth around £11.8 million to come soon.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to bring in Manchester City midfielder Rodri this summer as he believes having him in the Real engine room would bring out the best in Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham. (El Nacional)

Manchester United’s price tag for Scott McTominay is reportedly £30 million, with Fulham keen on the midfielder. (Football Insider)

Spanish publication Fichajes says that Arsenal want Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane. His contract with the Bavarians now has less than a year to run. Meanwhile, Bild claims that Bayern do not want Sane to leave and are preparing a new contract for him.

Another potential signing for Olympique Marseille from north London is Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, who is keen to leave the Gunners in search of more playing time. (Foot Mercato)

Lastly, from BBC Sport we learn that Brighton have rejected an offer worth £8 million for Billy Gilmour from Italian side Napoli.
