Here is our EPL transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.

EURO 2024 Final Today

A month of football festivities comes to an end tonight, as favourites Spain take on England in the EURO 2024 final in Berlin.

While La Roja had an almost flawless tournament so far, England have relied on late goals and near-miracles to make it to consecutive European Championship finals for the first time in their history. They might just win it, but would they deserve it?

You can see our preview of the final by clicking here. We also have our three biggest questions about the EURO showpiece and we will be eagerly awaiting our answers tonight. Meanwhile, you can let us know what YOU think.

EPL Transfers

After reports emerged a few days ago about Manchester City accepting two offers for him, it has been confirmed that Liam Delap has joined newly promoted Ipswich Town. His contract with the Tractor Boys runs for five seasons and the fee is rumoured to be around £20 million. (Ipswich official announcement)

Another player who might exit Manchester City is Julian Alvarez, who has reportedly asked to leave the reigning champions after refusing to sign a new contract earlier this summer. He has also demanded that the club sets a “logical” price tag for him. He is on the radars of big European clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and PSG. (Daily Mail)

Aston Villa are close to sealing a £50 million deal to bring Everton midfielder Amadou Onana to Birmingham, stealing a march on bigger clubs interested in him such as Arsenal or Bayern Munich. The player himself is also keen on joining Villa and testing himself in the Champions League. (The Athletic)

Manchester United are close to selling defender Willy Kambwala to Spanish side Villarreal for an estimated £8.4 million. The deal is set to include a buy-back clause. (Fabrizio Romano)

Joining Manchester United might be Brentford striker Ivan Toney, according to journalist Christian Falk. He also claims that Toney is open to a switch to Old Trafford.

Arsenal have initiated talks with Real Sociedad for the transfer of Mikel Merino by telling the Spanish club that they won’t pay more than £21 million for the midfielder. (Football Transfers)

Also joining Arsenal might be 20-year-old Ajax goalkeeper Tommy Setford. His contract with the Dutch side is now in its final year, but the club wants him to stay. (Fabrizio Romano)

After the expiration of his contract with Juventus, the services of midfielder Adrien Rabiot have been offered to Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, as noted by HITC.

Still from HITC we learn that Manchester City have received a £25 million offer from one of the Saudi Pro League clubs for Ederson.

Chelsea are considering a move for Rennes midfielder Desire Doue, but could face competition from Tottenham, Bayern Munich and PSG for his signature. (L’Equipe)

Spanish newspaper AS tells us that Aston Villa’s next transfer target is Girona striker Viktor Tsygankov. The Ukrainian is also of interest to Arsenal and Manchester United.
