Spain Await in EURO Final
The first EURO 2024 semi-final is now in the history books, as Spain overcame France last night to book their place in the showpiece in Berlin against either England or Netherlands.
The Three Lions play the Dutch team tonight and will be hoping to make it back-to-back EURO finals for the first time in their history. Would England deserve to win the whole thing? See what we think here.
EPL Transfers
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of 6ft 8in goalkeeper Carlos Miguel from Brazilian side Corinthians. The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal to become Forest’s fourth signing this summer, after the arrivals of Elliot Anderson, Marko Stamenic and Eric da Silva Moreira. Leicester have signed 22-year-old centre-back Caleb Okoli from Atalanta in a deal believed to be worth around £13 million. (Leicester City official announcement)
After having their second bid for Jarrad Branthwaite rejected by Everton, Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal in principle with Lille for the transfer of Leny Yoro. The sum is understood to be £42.2 million. The player is most strongly linked with Real Madrid and reports are saying that he only has eyes for them. (Sky Sports)
In another bit of Manchester United news, and also from Sky Sports, we learn that they have reached an understanding with Olympique Marseille for the sale of Mason Greenwood. Deal is supposed to be worth £26.7 million, while United inserted a sell-on clause thought to be 40-50% into the deal.
90min tells us that West Ham are “actively working” to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran this summer, and the Villans would not oppose a deal too much. On a related note, GIVEMESPORT claims that if the Hammers fail to seal a deal for Duran, they will turn their attention to Newcastle’s Callum Wilson.
Manchester City have accepted two offers from Premier League clubs for young striker Liam Delap, son of former Prem player Rory. The offers are believed to both be £20 million, and City are leaving the decision up to the player. (The Athletic)
Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Turkish fullback Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce, who is also of interest to Manchester United. (FourFourTwo)
Chelsea are one of the clubs monitoring the situation of Porto winger Francisco Conceicao. His current contract has a release clause that will increase from £25 million to £38 million next week, according to Portuguese publication Record.
Liverpool’s goalkeeping situation might get more complicated this summer, as both Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher are linked with exits. The Reds are looking at three potential transfers to cover the position: Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin, Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow and Anthony Patterson from Sunderland. (HITC)
Calciomercato reports that Inter are looking to seal a loan deal for Arsenal full-back Jakub Kiwior, with a view to make it a permanent transfer if his performances are up to the standards of the Italian giants.
In another bit from Calciomercato we find out that Benoit Badiashile’s Chelsea future is in doubt, as new coach Enzo Maresca is yet to make a decision about his future. The player is currently linked with a move to Juventus.
Lastly, Arsenal are more and more interested in signing Wolves winger Pedro Neto and might make a move very soon. (TEAMtalk)
