New Brighton Coach
Sky Sports Germany reports that Fabian Hürzeler is close to being appointed the new coach of Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 31-year-old is set to become the youngest-ever Premier League manager, as the Seagulls have offered him a 3-year contract.
He has guided German club St. Pauli to promotion last season after 18 months in charge.
Record Signing Leaves Tottenham
After joining for a club record £53.2 million from Lyon in 2019, Tanguy Ndombele and Spurs have reached an agreement to terminate his contract after only 91 appearances and 10 goals in his 5 years in north London.
His last appearance for the Lilywhites came in January 2022, which was followed by loan spells with Lyon, Napoli and Galatasaray.
EPL Transfers
Wolves have completed the signing of Braga winger Rodrigo Gomes. The 20-year-old joins on a 5-year contract. He is a product of Braga’s academy, having joined them aged 11. Gomes impressed through every age group before earning a senior debut in 2020 at the age of 17. (Wolves official announcement)
Turkish outlet Takvim informs us that Luton Town attacker Elijah Adebayo is on the radar of Fenerbahce. The Hatters will have a hard time keeping hold of him after their relegation.
Chelsea could be looking to sell David Datro Fofana this year, among other players, in order to comply with PSR rules ahead of next summer’s deadline. He only joined Chelsea 18 months ago, and spent last season on loan at Burnley. (The Athletic)
Manchester United are backing out of a deal for Bayern Munich centre-back Matthijs de Ligt. Despite the Bavarians’ willingness to sell, the financial package of a potential transfer is proving to be too much for United. (90min)
Football Insider tells us that Alisson has rejected a “massive offer” from Saudi club Al Nassr in order to stay at Liverpool.
Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race for the signature of Rennes midfielder Desire Doue. (Le 10 Sport)
Chelsea are also looking for a striker, and are exploring a deal for their former academy player Dominic Solanke of Bournemouth. (HITC)
As Juventus are having trouble getting Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori to Turin, they are now considering signing Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior instead. (Tuttomercatoweb)
Lastly, 2 bits about Matty Cash. Firstly, talkSPORT reports that AC Milan have contacted Aston Villa about a deal for the Pole. However, The Athletic says that Villa’s price tag is £30 million, which is likely to be too high for the Italian club.
