Latest Premier League News and Transfer Rumours

Here is our transfers and news round-up from today’s papers.

2023/24 Fans’ Team of the Season Revealed

The Premier League website has crunched the numbers based on the votes of the fans for the best XI of the season.

It’s an almost all-Arsenal defence, with David Raya in goal, and Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel ahead of him. The only non-Gunner in the rearguard is Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Manchester City dominate the midfield, as Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, and Phil Foden have been selected alongside Chelsea’s Cole Palmer. The 2 strikers are Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and City’s Erling Haaland.

Leicester Starting with a Handicap?

Leicester City will be playing Premier League football next season after winning the Championship 2023/24 title. But they might be at risk of a record points deduction for Profit and Sustainability Rules.

The Telegraph is reporting that the Foxes could be hit with a penalty of “anything between 6 and 15 points.”

On top of this, manager Enzo Maresca is close to being confirmed as the next Chelsea coach, according to goal.com.

Tottenham have extended the loan deal for Timo Werner for the upcoming 2024/25 season. The German has been playing for Spurs since January, joining on loan from RB Leipzig. In this new loan deal there is also an option to buy him next summer for £15 million. (90min)

Real Madrid winger Rodrygo has commented on his future at the club in an interview with DAZN. When asked about whether he wants to stay with Madrid for the rest of his career, he stated: “Yes. Well… anything can happen. I have a contract here, but I don’t know. […] The years I’ve been here have been a pleasure for me.” This could put Liverpool on alert given their long-standing interest in the player.

Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo’s contract is up this summer, and Chelsea have reportedly made an offer for his services. The 26-year-old is also of interest to Newcastle. (Sky Sports News)

Everton midfielder Amadou Onana is reportedly a target for Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG, among other European clubs, as per FootballInsider.

According to Brazilian publication GOAL, Casemiro could leave Manchester United this summer amid interest from Saudi Pro League clubs Al Nassr, Al Ahli and Al Qasidiya.

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville is on the radar of several EPL clubs, with Chelsea and Liverpool at the front of the queue. (Daily Telegraph)

Italian outlet Calciomercato is saying that while Liverpool and Tottenham are monitoring the availability of Atalanta player Ederson, Barcelona have already reached out to the UEL champions about a transfer.

Pedro Neto would hand in a transfer request to Wolves if interest from Manchester City in his services becomes more concrete. (FootballInsider)

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Arsenal are still interested in Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, but are aware that it could be difficult to seal a deal for his services.

Daily Mail reports that Newcastle’s search for a goalkeeper this summer has led them to Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale. However, due to the London club’s asking price of £30 million, the Magpies have now turned their attention to Burnley’s James Trafford.

Lastly, according to Evening Standard, Tottenham will look to sign a new striker after renewing Timo Werner’s loan deal for next season.
